The Finnish giant, Nokia, is again making it to the headlines with its new Nokia 3.1 smartphone that saw its launch in May in Moscow, and has now entered the Indian shores. The striking features of the handset include the Android one certification and Oreo 8.1, 2990 mAh battery and an amazing 5.2 inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone is priced at 10,499 INR for Indian markets for the 16 GB storage and 2 GB RAM variant. It will come in 3 colors Black-Chrome, Blue-Copper, and White-Iron. The exclusive sale will start on July 21 on all prominent mobile retailers and on Nokia online stores. Customers can also buy this phone on Paytm Mall app which will also include several cashback offers for the buyers.
The smartphone would mount an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750N processor at 1.5 GHz clock speed. The other variants of the phone also include a 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space. External memory can also be expanded through a microSD card for upto 128 GB. The Nokia 3.1 comes with a single 13 MP Autofocus camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and an LED flash. Suitable for personal video calling, and selfies, the phone will feature an 8 MP fixed focus sensor enabled front camera with 84.6 degrees field of view and f/2.0 aperture.
In the previous event held in Moscow, Nokia also announced other two phones, viz. Nokia 2.1 and 5.1 along with Nokia 3.1, but only the Nokia 3.1 is going to be on sale in India at the moment. The phone will have several connectivity features including Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, Micro USB, Glonass, etc. and the sensors will include a proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer and ambient light senor. The phone will weigh around 138 grams and would come in dimensions 146.25 mm x 68.65 mm x 8.7 mm.
