Razer, a gaming company which is famous to make gaming laptop has launched the first Gaming Mobile Phone. The Razer Phone is especially for gamers because of its high-end specs, smooth screen and amazing stereo speakers. The main focus of this phone is the screen and the sound. It has a 5.7-inch screen and is flanked by stereo speakers. As a result, here is a handset that has some strong score when it comes to visuals and audio.
The Razer Phone’s 5.7-inch LCD QHD has 1440 x 2560 resolution and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. This is nothing special but there is more to it. Razer opted for LCD technology over the brighter, more colorful AMOLED tech you find in the likes of the Galaxy S8 and Google Pixel 2 XL because it has the ability to provide higher refresh rates and frame rates. That is definitely the best move for 3D gaming. Each speaker has its own amp and has been tuned to Dolby Atmos standards, and together they provide a ‘3D visualization’ of sound.
The Razer Phone will come with a Snapdragon 835 chipset and a whopping 8GB of RAM. It will run on Android 7.1,1 but Android 8 Oreo update will arrive during Q1 of 2018. It will have 64GB of internal storage and is expandable to 2GB via MicroSD card. The 4,000mAh battery is smaller in size. The Razer Phone will come with 12 megapixel rear and 8 megapixels front camera.
The Razer Phone is priced at $699 / £699 (around AU$890) and will compete against some of the best phones of the market like the Google Pixel 2, iPhone 8, Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG V30. It will be available at Razer’s online store in the UK and US. You can pre-order it from November 1, and will be available in stores from November 17. The company has planned to bring the phone to Australia but there are no talks about India.
