The Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro have been launched by Huawei. Both these smartphones are highly anticipated. Huawei has tried to follow the skinny-bezel trend that is going on these days. Both the phones will have different screen size and shape, the Mate 10 will come with a 5.9-inch 2560 x 1440 LCD display and the Mate 10 Pro with 6-inch 2160 x 1080 OLED display. There will be thin symmetrical bezel at the top and bottom.
The Pro looks like a smaller phone because it has an aspect ratio of 18:9 while the Mate 10 has an aspect ratio of 16:9 which makes it convenient for using YouTube and watching other videos. Both the phones will come in two colors, pink gold and mocha brown and will have black and gold finishes on the Mate 10, and blue and grey on the Pro. There will also be a special edition of the Mate 10 Pro called ‘Porsche Design’ and will come with diamond black finish.
The thickness of the Mate 10 and the Mate 10 Pro will be 8.2 and 7.9 mm respectively. The Mate 10 will be having a fingerprint sensor at below the screen and the Mate 10 Pro will feature it at the back. The Pro will also have waterproofing and IR blaster and, Mate 10 will have a microSD card slot and headphone jack.
Both the phones will have 4GB of RAM, Kirin 970 CPU, 64GB of storage, 4,000mAh battery and dual cameras with f/1.6 lenses. They will have a 20-megapixel rear camera and 12-megapixel front camera. A variant of the Pro will come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the Porsche Design model will be having 6GB of RAM and expandable storage of 256GB.
The release date hasn’t been announced yet. The European price for the Mate 10 is €699 ($824) while for the Mate 10 Pro is €799 ($942). The Porsche design of the Mate 10 Pro will be €1,395 ($1,645).
