Xiaomi’s Mi Mix 2 smartphone has been launched in India Today. It is the most expensive phone of Xiaomi with price INR 35,999. Mi Mix was launched last year and Mi Mix 2 is following the same line with bezel-less design trend. It has been improved in many ways.The Mi Mix 2 has a smaller 5.99-inch 18:9 display. With the smaller display it is easy to hold and comfortable to carry.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has a resolution of 2160×1080 and the speakers are at the top in a thin slit shape, not below the display. This is the only bezel on the smartphone. The back of the smartphone is made up of ceramic and sides with aluminum. This reduces the price of the smartphone. Xiaomi also has the MI MIX 2 Special Edition featuring an all-ceramic body and 8GB of RAM but this will not be available in India. The camera is rounded with the 18k gold plated rim.
Talking about specifications, the Mi Mix 2 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. It has a 12 megapixel Sony rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with the facial recognition function that will be used to unlock the smartphone. It has 3400mAh battery and also has to charge support with it. It runs on MIUI 8 based on Android Nougat out of the box.
The connectivity options for Mi Mix 2 are 4G (support for 43 LTE bands), VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11c, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C. The sale of Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will start from October 17 and will be Exclusively available on Flipkart and Mi.com. You can also get the smartphone from Mi Home retail stores and other retail partners from the first week of November. It is a big competition for OnePlus 5.
