The most expensive handset of Apple, iPhone X or call it iPhone 10, has totally changed the design definition which we have been looking since 2007 because the entire front is covered with the display. It’s made from surgical grade stainless steel, and glass on the rear panel. It’s water and dust resistant, and available in space gray and silver. This means that the newest, most-expensive iPhone-ever looks nothing like its predecessors, though the overall design is pretty similar to what we’ve seen on a few Android phones.
The device is designed to be intuitive to use, despite having no button on the front, due to the screen’s size. It’s a swipe up to reach the home screen, or you can use raise-to-wake, or tap on the screen to get started. These gestures work across the operating system, for multitasking and to leave apps. Siri is still activated by voice or using the larger side button. Its body is smaller than the iPhone 7 plus, but it has 5.8 inches display spread all over its front.
The Apple iPhone X has come with OLED panels. OLED technology can offer wide color support, color accuracy and brightness as desired by the customers. The iPhone X consists of Supper retina display which goes right with specifications such as 1125×2436 pixels, 458ppi screen, Dolby Vision, HDR10, True Tone, and a one million-to-one contrast ratio. If we talk about the performance, the iPhone X display is as good as we’ve seen on any smartphone.
It has 7 mega pixel front camera and 12-megapixel rear camera. It has 64 GB internal storage. Animoji, which is the feature that the TrueDepth camera system enables. In this emojis can take your photo and voice when you send messages. While fun, it will be interesting to see if Animojis continue to be used once the novelty wears off. There are other software touches that are different about the iPhone X – you swipe up from the bottom edge to mimic the functionality of the home button; swipe and briefly hold to bring up the multitasking view; and slide down from the right of the notch to bring the Control Center into view.
The TouchID has been replaced with FaceID, which can also be used to make payment through apple pay. There are other enhancements which have been made like there is an improvement in camera with Quad-LED True Tone flash on the rear, the A11 Bionic SoC that’s the fastest-ever smartphone chip on paper, stereo speakers, water resistant and wireless charging.
iPhone X will be available to pre-order on October 27, with deliveries beginning on November 3. The good news is Apple will sell the iPhone X in 55 countries around the world. Either concerns about component shortages were exaggerated, or Apple isn’t expecting the phone to sell in massive numbers.
The iPhone X was the third phone announced by Apple on September 12, joining the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. It followed the Series 3 Apple Watch, which comes with built in cellular connectivity. The event also featured other new devices.
