Google Android 8.0 ‘Oreo’ is now official – The 8 Most Important Features

Google has finally come up with Android 8.0 Oreo, the latest version of their mobile operating system. The Android 8.0 Oreo was officially unveiled recently and succeeds Nougat, which was released late last year. The operating system is all ready to bring some brand new functionalities to all the Android gadgets.

Here are some of the features that Android Oreo will bring to your gadgets

  1. Google has put it in a lot of efforts to improve the android gadget’s battery life. Android Oreo will limit the activity of apps running in the background, focusing on location updates, broadcasts and background services, which will help the gadgets last longer.

  2. Google redesigned Android’s usual emojis, and introduced over 60 new ones, which is an exciting feature for emoji lovers.

  3.  Oreo will also help to speed up gadgets and thus making it easier for one to handle tons of notifications from a ton of apps.

  4.  It comes with a snooze function, which allows one to prioritize certain alerts over others. The app icons will come with notification dots to show you if there’s anything in there, like a new message or email, that you haven’t yet checked.

  5. The Android Oreo will also make its users able to group notifications by channel, which will neatly bundle certain alerts together depending on subject matter.

  6. Picture-in-picture mode, which is hugely popular, particularly amongst YouTube and Netflix fans. This feature allows the user to continue watching clips while using another app without having to hit pause as a shrunken video window appearing on top of something else, like Gmail or Maps.

  7. ‘Copyless’ pasting is another feature which will make android gadgets even smarter. The phone will be able to guess what text you want to copy in one app and makes it available to paste in another.

  8. Google will be also getting better audio for Android, by adding new audio codecs which will improve the sound quality of music played through wireless speakers and headphones.

Well, the android’s direct competition iOS will have to come up with something even more exciting than this and that too as soon as possible. No matter how cut throat the competition is between these two major operating systems , it is the users who get to enjoy the new features that these operating systems keep bringing to stay in the competition.  wishes Google all the luck.
