Bill gates, the world’s richest man donates $4.6bn to charity

World’s richest man, Bill gates founder & CEO of Microsoft has donated $4.6bn to charity. Recently, Microsoft also set up the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in which they help to get poverty out, Empower the poorest peoples specially Women and Girls, and Inspire people to take action.

According to a US Securities & Exchange Commission filing, Bill gates donated 64m Microsoft shares. Bill gates stakes reduced in Microsoft to just 1.3% from 24% in 1996, which is co-founded 61 years later in 1975. The Shares donated represent about 5% of his current $90bn fortune.

Bill and Melinda gates has started donating since 1994 and they have donated $35bn since 1994 and followed up they donated $16bn worth of Microsoft shares in 1999 and $5.1bn a year later. The Gates foundation has become the world’s largest private charity with $40.3bn of funds, before the gift.

“About building on a wonderful tradition of philanthropy that will ultimately help the world become a much better place”, Gates pledge.

This donation has become the biggest donation since 2000 and Bill & Melinda Gates foundation become the largest foundation in the world. In short, this foundation helps poor people to grow in terms of knowledge, help and respect. This foundation take care at all to the poor to reduce poverty.
